KARAM Africa is proud to announce the release of its newest innovation in underground safety gear: the PN 42(SP)(03) Mining Harness. Designed with both men and women in mind, this harness brings a new standard of durability, comfort, and safety to the mining industry.
With over two decades of safety innovation, KARAM has engineered this harness to tackle the toughest environments underground. The harness features ANSI Z 59.11.2014-certified abrasion-resistant webbing that surpasses strength standards, ensuring longevity and performance under pressure. Automatic computerised stitching provides consistent reinforcement, ensuring the consistency of breaking strength of each stitched point.
A padded utility belt offers support while accommodating both self-rescuer and battery packs.
What truly sets this harness apart are the thoughtful additions tailored to miners’ real-world needs:
- High-visibility reflective strips for added safety in low-light conditions
- Built-in fall indicator for fast visual assessment post-incident
- Improved buckles with secure, rounded contours
- Breakaway lanyard keepers for secure lanyard positioning
The women’s edition, PN 42(SP)(03)(W), features a unique red-and-grey webbing design and includes an elasticated chest strap to enhance comfort and support.
“Safety should never come at the cost of comfort or mobility,” says the KARAM Africa team. “This range shows our commitment to protecting the people who power our industries – men and women alike.”
The PN 42(SP)(03) Mining Harness is now available across KARAM Africa’s distribution channels.
